We design and supply Venturi Gas Scrubbers, Eductor Venturi Gas Scrubbers, Wet Cyclones, Packed Bed Scrubbers and Cross Flow Scrubbers using conventional tower and packing designs or tailoring new packings, such as BlueFil structured mesh, to solve difficult problems. Gas scrubbers are all designed to ensure a good contact and mixing between gas and liquid, usually for Absorption, Odour Control or Particulate removal.
Begg Cousland’s specialization in the fields of wet gas filtration and gas cleaning means it has found many applications with a need for efficient solid/gas removal. Now following original research and development, we offer the brilliantly simple ‘Rotary Brush Scrubbing System’ BECOFLEX. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with a packed bed, atomized spray, or with our high efficiency coalescers and mist eliminators downstream.
The Becofil Candle Filter, often commonly referred to as a Mist Eliminator or Fibre Bed Filter – is intended primarily for the removal of very fine mist particles of less than 2 microns. A combination of impingement for removing greater than 1-2 microns and diffusion for finer, sub-micron size particles where Brownian motion becomes increasingly important.
Our demisters can be used in a variety of applications from removing entrained liquid droplets in vapour streams in brine desalination processes right through to oil refining.
